And by providing Consulting, Auditing, Training and Community Education to all members of medical services delivery – doctors, hospitals, billers, evaluators, diagnosticians, therapists, pharmacologists, suppliers, students, and health care insurance companies – we create a Win-Win Concept to unify, improve and assure that anyone who is medically insured receives and pays their medical bills with review and accuracy.
EMC EXECUTIVE STAFF
The EMC Executive Staff is the leadership group that guides and directs our business ethics,
policies and systems, providing for the above services. This group of four individuals was selected because of their specific skill-sets in Business Management, Education & Training, Counseling, People-Helping, Medical Billing, Community Resource & Development, and Customer Service.
Lynn E. Johnson – Mr. Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of Executive Medical Consultants. He is a co-founding partner of EMC and is responsible for Business Development, Policy, Management and Systems Planning. Mr. Johnson was educated at Kent State University and holds a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Counseling. He served in the US Army and Vietnam, as did his brother; and his father, also an US Army servant, was a decorated combat solder in World War II. Mr. Johnson previously retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs, serving 24 years as a Counseling Psychologist for the Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Division. He is the recipient of two national awards during that time, helping Veterans with Disabilities overcome their employment handicaps and restoring their ability to return to the workplace and gainful employment. In 1993 Secretary Brown of the Department of Veterans Affairs presented Mr. Johnson with the Olin Teague Award for assisting Veterans with Disabilities to establish their own businesses. This is the highest national award presented to VA employees. In 1999 Mr. Johnson was awarded Vice President Al Gore’ Silver Hammer Award for Efficiency in Government as the developer and trainer of the Veterans First Team Program that created a team networking system between federal, state and private contractor services to Veterans with Disabilities to become employed. Mr. Johnson joined EMC to realize his goals of returning to the good work of People Helping Services and to improve the services and communication between medical services and billing, insurance companies and patients.
Lynnette D. Catalanotto – Mrs. Catalanotto is the President of Executive Medical Consultants. She originated the business idea and is a co-founding partner of EMC. Her duties and responsibilities include Human Resources Management, Membership Administration, Claims Processing, Community & Corporate Training and Employee Development. Mrs. Catalanotto has worked in the Medical Industry and the Medical Billing Sector for 23 years, with experience as a supervisor, trainer and bill payer. Prior to originating EMC, she worked in medical billing management and training in varied healthcare practices. She has one on one experience with individual Physician denial management, as well as training at the corporate level for recouping fee schedule allowable from insurance contracts. Mrs. Catalanotto has supervised as many as 38 medical bill payers, and she has trained hundreds of industry workers. She has a strong contact network in the Medical and Insurance Industries, enabling her to resolve the most difficult insurance denials, and to ensure claims adjudication for reimbursements. Mrs. Catalanotto’s goal is to continue to upgrade and integrate medical industry policy and knowledge to apply to general denial trends, delivering a value-added business solution for medical providers, insurance companies, and patients. Her vision is excellence in business services; her challenge is to improve the Medical Industry and the Medical Billing Sector; and her passion is to assist the general public in understanding their specific insurance needs. For her business accomplishments with EMC thus far, Mrs. Catalanotto has been recognized by the Cambridge Whose Who Registry of Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs 2010, as demonstrated by her dedication, leadership and excellence in Medical Consulting.
Jeanette Brown – Mrs. Brown is the Resource and Development Director of Executive Medical Consultants. She is responsible for researching and developing market resources, corporate, government and customer relations, seminar development, consultant training, community relations, promotions, and giving programs. Mrs. Brown comes to EMC with 20 years of professional service with public relations, community outreach, organizational development, community service administration, and community training. Mrs. Brown also demonstrates excellent skill-set development with business communication, public speaking, and promoting and coordinating business seminars. She has a strong contact network with social service agencies, advisory boards, auxiliaries, community service groups, and social welfare agencies. Mrs. Brown is a former Captain of the Salvation Army, and an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Summit County Salvation Army, an active member of the Board of Directors of the Summit County Pregnancy Care, an active member of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce, and an active youth leader of Journey Covenant Church. She was also a previous Sponsorship Chairman for Cross International, providing housing for needs in Haiti, Dominican Republic and the Philippians. Mrs. Brown has also been awarded the NAACP Community Recognition Award for bridging community programs for effectiveness.
Sharon Scally – Mrs. Scally is the Office Manager of Executive Medical Consultants. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for the oversight of all EMC claims employees, as well as the processes and procedures of managing the medical claims reviews, resolutions, advocacy, and membership documentations. Mrs. Scally has 26 years of medical billing experience, during which she acquired skill-sets as a supervisor, trainer and bill payer. Mrs. Scally was a team leader of a Patient Relations Department for 10 years, providing medical billing services to radiologists of several leading hospitals, supervising 15-20 employees. Mrs. Scally is especially well known for her customer service excellence and has held positions of Benefits Director / Personal Secretary for a Corporate President. In addition, Mrs. Scally was the original trainer of our EMC President. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Scally on the EMC Team.
